Transplant Surgery and Immunology – Research

The Division of Transplant Surgery and Immunology takes part in industry sponsored and publicly funded research to improve immunosuppression, understand the role of humoral and cellular immunity in transplant rejection and failure, and studies the outcomes related to the unique population of patients with end organ disease in Eastern North Carolina. The division collaborates with the Multicenter Transplant Alliance for Kidney and the Terisaki Institute.
