Surgical Residency – Curriculum

While our residents work hard clinically, education is stressed, with 5 hours of protected didactic time weekly, including M&M and Grand Rounds. Four times per year our senior residents are administered Mock Oral exams, with chief residents participating in a statewide Mock Oral exam as well. The ultimate goal of our training curriculum is producing competent surgeons prepared for the complexity of providing surgical care. Our success is demonstrated in a >80% ACS Boards pass rate over 5 years, and consistent ABSITE performance.
